Rekindling that crafting bug!

Ok. Here we go - this is my very first blog post. I've been putting this off for well over a year now as my perfectionist streak was making the whole enterprise a little overwhelming. But I'm on holidays, there's no time like the present, and I can learn from my mistakes.

This bag was completed yesterday and inspired by Retro Mama's beautiful creations here.

All the fabric was from Spotlight, Hobart, bought a couple of days ago when I needed a fabric fix. The bag will find a very worthy home with the lovely Sara, director of Cooper Screen Academy.

I have just over a month of holidays left and am sooooo looking forward to giving the sewing machine a good workout, plus some other maintenance and renovating type stuff around the flat.

  1. Well done on your first blog post. Love your bag. It has inspired me to do something similar with my flat fats.

  2. My cousin Mary forwarded my your blog link, great stuff you make. Yes I know about the need for a fabric fix, my problem is I have too many fabric fixes and not enough for sewing it! One day... Meanwhile I've gone cold turkey, no new fabric, except maybe if I go to the Japanese fabric shop in Melbourne!!
    Thanks and keep having fun.
